With the nice weather here, our thoughts turn to barbecuing. As Chuck mentioned in his blog today, this can trigger a craving...just memories of the past. So, take care that you don't light up a cig when you start cooking outside this season.
I'm on Day 67 & the weather has been getting warmer for the past week here in NC! Sitting on the deck, grilling out, just walking around aside has proved to be many, many triggers for me. I love the sunshine & warm weather, but I dread this constant trigger threat. I told my daughter yesterday that my favorite thing to do was so sit out on the deck from 6-9, reading my Kindle, smoking & watching the sun go down. But this year will be different!!! I can do all those things but smoke!!! I'll just have to make sure I've got lots of cold water on hand!!!
Im on day 58, I didnt have to much trouble with grilling. But I have to say recently we went camping and sitting around the camp fire was rough on me. I felt like I needed to be doing something but it was hard to think of things to do other than eat. I had a rough time being out in my own yard, it would make me grumpy. I suppose its because thats where I would smoke. It has gotten more tolerable to be out there, I guess us recovering smokers have to relearn how to do normal things.

Julie
