Don't look for an excuse to smoke... when the urge hits, tell yourself I don't do that anymore. You've made it so far!! 3 weeks is awesome! So take some deep breaths, have a drink of water, take a walk... the urges will pass. 🙂 Stay strong, you've done great so far.
Yeah, maybe, hormones could play a factor in cravings. So what? You gonna smoke because of it? Well DON'T! Here's my "take." Whyever cravings come about it makes no difference. You've made a decision and commitment to stop - or you haven't. If you have, then ultimately it makes no difference whatsoever what created the craving. The point is you won't smoke over it. It may help you psychologically to understand what the trigger was and how to guard against it next time - but other than that...
Looking for something bad to happen to give yourself an excuse to smoke is an area of thinking you don't want to pursue. (I think many of us have done that, just not had the guts to say it.) Because I can almost guarantee you, something bad WILL happen that will give you the excuse you need. Life is full of them.
But I'm going to assume that your Blog title was what you meant - a "bad moment." Not a quit changing one. Three weeks is INCREDIBLE. Hold fast to it and hold it very dear. This is just a blip in the journey. It can take you back or make your stronger. Make the choice you know is best for you. Hang in.
The first 2-3 weeks are the worst for everyone who quits smoking but you are just about to turn the corner. DON'T BLOW IT NOW!
You will be entering No Mans Land in another week but before then, there is going to be a realization that will make you think you've beat this.
This is why I want you to read my page. It explains what you will be going through and you need to know this so you don't get overtaken by yourself and smoke.
HANG IN THERE
