82 days in & feeling great . I have tried numerous times before this time I was more focused and mentally ready,I’ve been off the patches and gum for a little over two weeks. A big part of me quitting is due to my friend who passed away Tuesday after living with COPD for 5 yrs watching him every day struggle to breathe was a true wake up call. Quitting is a struggle but it can be done I’m truly glad to have this site it has helped me .So for all of those who are just starting just know it can be done, and you’ll start to feel much better.  I had several doctors appointments recently and every time my oxygen was at percent since I’ve quit

I am very sorry about your friend.  I have COPD and I quit smoking over 6 1/2 years ago, unfortunately, the damage I did was severe and I am still struggling to breathe.  I am seriously proud of you and envious that you feel so much better already...I know your friend would be as well.  Both of my kids have quit smoking, one for over 5 years and the other for over a year, I'd like to think I might have had something to do with that.

82 days is wonderful...will look forward to your 100 day anniversary.  You are doing great.

GO GIRL.. you are pushing toward *** THREE *** MONTHS***  free of cigarettes!

I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. My " neighborhood smoking buddy" (aka my BFF) passed July 31st with end-stage COPD and the spread of cancer which started in her lung. You and I both have real-life incentives to quit.

Also, great news on your oxygen sats!! Keep on keeping on!

Congratulations on your 82 days smoke free.

It feels great to suck in a big lung full of fresh air without gasping for breath doesn't it?

Terry

Keep up the good quit
