I agree that cold turkey is the best, just fight through. I am on day 4 and all the stories have helped me so much. Each one makes me stronger and puts a smile on my face. I can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Day 4 here! Massive headache, but I am prepared! Have everything I could possibly need! Excedrine, Tums, Gax X (last time I had big time issues) water, a lunch box full of healthy snacks! Orange juice, and like y'all ATTITUDE! Bring it! I am ready to end this once and for all! Oh, and I DIG the monetariy calculator! I am definately going to sign up for that!
You got that right you’re in charge and you decide what is going into your body. I quit cold turkey also and it really is not that bad. You get all the nicotine out of your body and then you can concentrate on relearning your life without cigarettes. Way To Go!!!!!I like seeing a positive attitude around here.

That's it, that's what it's all about. You've just captured the mindset that powered most of us in our quits. We stopped fighting the fear, relaxed a little bit, and started to have some patience and some acceptance of the process.
Accepting the short term suck part of it because it's a big win to finally be able to live your live without being controlled by a stupid addiction. It's so empowering to kick it in teeth. To sneer at the craves and say, "What else can you SHOW me....." Each hour, each day, is another big win that gives you the momentum to keep winning.
The catch-22 is that none of realize the way it works until we jump in. Smokers just think it sucks like day one forever. They don't understand that is a dynamic process that gives you a different outlook with each passing day.
