There's a BIG difference between "trying" again and again and again or instead, making a CHOICE to get rid of the addiction and get healthy again. The way you talk to yourself is key to your mindset... remember that you are not "missing out on anything" but an addiction. It takes the mindset that we aren't giving up anything... we are doing it because we want to and not signing up for a lifetime of deprivation but a lifetime of freedom... that is the personal journey no one can take for us.
"YOU are worth so much MORE than a cigarette" Embrace the quitting process and persevere, no matter WHAT the addiction tells your mind. The addictive voices are liars... they only what nicotine an endless supply of nicotine. The idea is to willingly accept your decision to quitting this addiction. If you do that there is no fight. Fighting it wears people out and that's what makes them fail. Accept that you have made a decision to quit smoking and will honor that decision, no matter WHAT. When you finally make that DECISION, the process becomes do-able. If you have the idea you will smoke while quitting smoking or start with an idea that you can become a "social smoker", you're doing it wrong. We are smokaholics and need to realize that quitting smoking is a process, not an event, AND is the single most positive thing we can do to create a better life for ourselves. Smoking doesn't "fix" stress, it causes stress... as a matter of fact, it doesn't "fix" anything.... each puff we take will only keep us addicted, endlessly, until we finally stop.Say I do not I'll try.jpg

About the Author
Hello to all newbies and all oldbies and ALL that are still here helping others quit and STAY quit. I can remember over 10 years ago looking for a 'quit smoking group online' and found this amazing site of fantastic, dedicated people willing to help me quit and started to post, then prepared, did the reading of the Allen Carr book and another online ebook called QuitSmokingOnline .com. After about a week I realized that I could actually DO this, that quitting smoking wasn't even hard for me at all... (I know, you hate to hear about easy quits, lol). But I'm SO happy to be healthy and FREE from that big mind-game. Maybe I can help some of you understand this addiction and how to beat it too... who knows?
