I made it to my first month!  December 22.  I don't think about cigarettes as much anymore.  I had kept my smoking a secret from my doctor.  I had noticed I was forgetting little things here and there, but they started piling up on me.  He sent me for a CT scan to see if I had a brain tumor!  Fortunately, I'm clean -- in every way.  He put me on the lowest dose possible of a very mild antidepressant.  It seems to be slowly working.

Hey!  Maybe I'm just FORGETTING that I used to smoke!  LOL  I hope everyone has a great New Year!  Thank you to everyone who made my quitting a success!  It's been much appreciated!

LOL! Yes! I am on day 9 over here and I have become very forgetful. I also feel a bit "stoned." I think it's from too much oxygen rushing to my brain. I'm kind of enjoying the oxygen buzz though. hehehe.

We have almost the same date of quitting!  My was November 23.  It was a wild ride I'll tell ya!  Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about and it's even worse being a woman in her late 40's experiencing menopause prior to quitting which has the same short term memory loss issues!!  It has cleared up for me just recently - so don't worry it will clear up for you also.  My newest affliction is terrible acid reflux!  It is really disgusting and I have heard that other people that have quit have gone through some major stomach issues too......just to prepare you!!  LOL    I felt like I was on speed or something - it was a very bizzare feeling and I am normally a pretty hyper, upbeat person....but that detox was wild!  My poor boyfriend....I was a sweetheart one minute and a bitch the next!!
