As a non-smoker I think this is important for others to read.  The addiction to nicotine is real.  Sad to think what drove this young women to what she did.  Her actions definitely don't make me judge all current and former smokers though. If anything it gives me insight on to what they face.

No, but I saw it in your blog.  🙂

Tampered with the smoke detector? What did she do? Throw it down the air hole with that blue juice?

I was always afraid it was going to eat my wallet.   🙂

Good Grief!  But I know I would go absolutely crazy if I ran out of smokes! I would actually grout at night to find a drive through to get a pack if I knew I would only have a couple to some with my morning coffee.  Or heavens forbid if I awoke and wanted to smoke and had none left in the pack. I would even smoke the ends of old butts if I was lucky enough to find any. Sick....shows the insanity of it all.

This is a pretty serious offense...not sure what she is going to end up with as punishment...threatening to kill everyone is pretty extreme.

Once I've seen a guy smoking in the toilet in emirates airlines and walk away like a boss. When i went to Amsterdam the other time I've seen many guys vaping on the royal dutch airlines and the airline staff didn't give a ****

WOW, I remember how anxious I used to be when I flew long flights, God help the people who were in my way when it was time to deplane...I wanted OFF.  This was a bit more extreme and given the current environment protecting against terrorism, I really have to wonder what is going to happen to her.  She is a young woman who CLEARLY lost it.  I hope that she gets some serious help.
