Hi Jen! You've done so much hard work! Don't go back, stay strong and think about how proud you'll be of yourself for getting through this. Every day that I get through is tough, but I know how good I'll feel when I go to bed at night knowing that I didn't let smoking run my life. Go get a lollipop, an ice cream, or roll up a piece of paper and pretend it's a cigarette! It's all worth it, just keep moving forward!

one more thing i can say robin is right you don't want to go thru the withdrawals and the depression, and whatever syptoms you had alll over again cause i promise you once you quit and start again you won't be able to live with your self until you keep quitting and quitting so put this day on hold go for a walk read a book, deep breathe go visit a friend (who doesn't smoke) do the dishes whatever it takes for that fact come over and do my dishes my house is a disaster, so there now you have something to do my dishes, chin up gal, bobbie

just hang on honey. ask your self if taking that smoke will make you feel any better? no, just do what hwc said, get a drink of cold water, take a walk, or stay on line and let us talk you through this. i know it is hard, just breath deep and stay with us, we care so much and are going through the same thing peace!

Yes, it's better....you all are helping. I had an apple, washed the dishes, toured around here a little, and I think I'll go do a workout now and get my brain in a different place.

The other thing I want you to do is stop thinking of yourself as a smoker trying to quit. At 28 days, it's time to move on. From now on, when you get a thought of smoking (and you will, after all, you centered your life around smoking for years), just say to yourself, "Hah, another trigger. But, I'm an ex-smoker now and I don't do that anymore." Simple as that. End of discussion. No more big internal debate. "I'm an ex-smoker now. I don't do that anymore."

Hello Kim, Stay strong!!!!!! Look how far you have come you do not want to start all over do you? I have 140 days and each day I have to stay strong because I do not want to go through the withdrawl period ever again. You can do this I promise.

I'm online.

First, take a deep breath and go get a glass water or something. Take a walk.

Second, I want to reflect on what the first few days were like. Cravings every ten minutes. Brutal, right? You've already done all the hard work. At Day 28, you are over the hump. Yeah, you are still going to get triggers and feel urges. But, honestly, what are they -- maybe a few times a day? I bet it's a heck of a lot less than when you started. And, it will be a heck of a lot less after two months than it is today.

Third, do not thing about smoking one cigarette. Your choice is NOT to smoke just one because you can't do that. None of us can. Your choice is to smoke none and to reap all the benefits of being an ex-smoker: your clothes won't reek, you won't be a social outcast, you'll save a ton of dough, and you won't die from smoking.

Or, your choice is to smoke 7500 cigarettes this year (if you were a pack a day smoker). Do you want to smoke 7500 more cigarettes? How about 15,000 more? How about 75,000 more (if you live 10 more years)? How about 150,000 more (if you live 20 more years)? There are no guarantees smoking won't kill you before you ever try to quit again.

Your choice. You have to weigh how bad the craves are versus the hard realities of your decision. If you make an honest assessment, I doubt very very much that you will decide to throw away 28 days of a quit when you are basically over the hump.
