😯Don't tell anyone but I noticed the past two days as I really prepare and get things settled for a non-smoking environment, I'm literally not finishing cigarettes when I light them up. I'm not feeling the whole need to smoke an entire cigarette. I have a vape and spent a fortune on it and it's cleaned up, boxed up and packed away in the back of the storage. I am assuming this reaction to smoking and the anticipation of quitting in 7 days is a good sign.
I am getting ready with the shopping list. Lots of carrots, celery, organic cinnamon sticks and cloves. All I have left to do is finish washing the walls, finish up washing my clothes and toss the ashtray to the "curb".
I'm even rearranging my room so things aren't in the "habitual places" where I always smoked.
My husband upon my sharing a need, has bought me new knitting needles and yarn! My diamond painting supplies at the ready, my journals bedside, desktop and favorite chair... for when I need to vent and distract myself. I have EX bookmarked and available at a click. I'm watching the mailbox for my quit supplies and meds.
I have to say that the next seven days I'm planning on cutting myself down day by day so I'm not smoking so much as I have been when the meds arrive.
I can do this!

My reasons are for me, not anyone else. I want to be able to breathe, and not wheeze every time I stand up, sit down or do chores around the house. The coughing alone is taking a toll on me. I can't stand what smoking has done to me! I'm ready to sit down and write a good bye, so - long don't want to see you or smell you ever again letter.
It's a relief to know I'm not alone, that there are others who have been through quitting, are going through quitting and that things will get easier with time, perseverance and a lot of support! Thank you EX Community!! I don't think I could do this without you!!
