Anniversary

Today I have made it my 3 month anniversary of quit. I do reward myself from time to time with some of the money I'm saving. I have to admit this past month and half has been extremely difficult. My region went through a terrible storm on May 8th. The storm was referred to a an inland hurricane as we had winds 60-106 miles. I live in Southern Illinois (lots of big old trees) and where this storm hit the landscape has been changed and will never be the same in my lifetime anyway (trees uprooted everywhere). I was without power for 5 days but some had to go much longer. I got depressed after the storm cleaning up (which I was lucky as I didn't have large trees to clean up - just shingles and large branches) and asked my son to come down (he's an hour away) but he said no that him and his fiance were going to go to her mothers (it was mother's day which I didn't care as I just needed help). Well I finally got over that and then have stressed from time to time as my son's wedding is coming up (next weekend) and he just doesn't communicate with me (it would help first by answering the phone!) as I have no idea how dressy is wedding (it's outside) the color, etc. I finally just decided to buy a dressy dress and be done with it. Then on June 8th - exactly 1 month from our storm - some of our area got hit by another storm. Well I wasn't as lucky as with the first storm as my sprinkler system in my house (that I don't have) decided to go off (in other words major leaking going on in my front room).

With all that I have been tempted so many times to go get some smokes but I also realize that I'm an addict and if I buy just one pack then I'm done and will have to start over from day 1 - which I just don't want to go through hell week(s) again!

For all of you just beginning your journey to stop smoking, you can do it and stay quit.

Everyone, please have a GREAT SMOKE-FREE day. 🙂
