Almost 72 hours!

As of about 1830 tonight I will be smoke-free for 72 hours! That may sound like nothing to non-smokers, but I'm sure we all know that 3 days without a cigarette is an ETERNITY!!! Actually I feel really good though.  I have thought about having a cigarette, but I know it won't taste the way it did before I quit, and I just got my coat, gloves, scarves, etc. all clean and smoke-free.  I really don't want to go back to smelling like that.  The last step in the cleaning process will be getting the car cleaned and detailed.

It was nice when I woke up on Monday morning (my quit day) and took my shower, knowing that it would be the last time I would have to wash the smell of smoke out of my hair and off my skin!  Well self-inflicted smoke anyway! It was actually very cleansing, knowing that it was the beginning of a new chapter in my life.  I feel like I can really do it this time! Feeling very proud of myself for making to day 3 smoke-free!

Good for you. This is my 3rd day also! Each time I feel that craving, it bugs me a little at first, but then I see it as a challenge to tackle it and it almost excites me. Very strange. I never thought I'd feel that way.

Good for you! Every moment not smoking should be celebrated so please think about the use of words like "only"

Stick close to the blogs and make sure to drink plenty of ice cold water.  Have you read the material normally suggested to a new member here?  If not please go to Nancy's  or Aztec's page in addition to Jonescarp aka Dale.  Lots of great links there!

Best wishes - see you here in the blogs!
