I was at the grocery store the other day and noticed that American Spirits--the brand of cigarettes I used to smoke--are almost $10 a pack! I would've went through that in 1 to 2 days. When I smoked, I used to buy them by the carton, two per month at about $80+ a pop. What a waste...
I'm at 24 days now--or 52 days if you don't count the one cigarette I smoked 24 days ago.
In either case, I'm feeling good about my time as a non-smoker. I started working out regularly a few weeks ago. Though I don't think I've lost the weight I gained from quitting, I'm feeling stronger and more in control. I also started seeing a counselor for my ongoing anxiety. I can see how I turned to cigarettes to help cope, but it didn't make anything better.
