Well thank God that day was done lol

Early on in the day i realized just how grumpy i was. Woops. So yesterday was all about containing myself and being gentle with myself, with gratitude that i was able to take some space from normal routines and people.

Wherever you go, there you are.

I am realizing just how much i avoided me with smoking. I seem to be spending a lot of time with me lately lol

Anyway, onto day 4.

Hope it is a blessed one!

Peace.

4 days is  fantastic! Congrats...I love your thought of " me avoiding me"  I actually wrote a blog about that quite awhile back. Now is the time to take care of you

The blog I wrote:

Where can I go to get away from myself...

Because every time I turn around, here I am. I think we are our own worst enemy at times.

Getting away from me comes down to a choice. I will choose to make things difficult or not. Choose to accept or not, choose to dwell or not....and choose to smoke, or not.

I'm not depressed, just was thinking how much I got into my own way of my quit years ago. I allowed every excuse in the world to smoke back then. I was my own enemy. I see it now.

Going to a desert Island sounded like the only  way for me to quit. Ahh well. Such is life. I had a lot of failed quits but I learned something from every one of them. Sorry  to ramble. Just had this on my mind today.

And then there's this,......

Congratulations on staying smoke-free.  One day at a time.  Stay close, Never give up.  It is great to have the time to think about yourself and reflect. That is so wonderful.  I am happy for you.  You will continue to learn more about yourself as you keep the cloud out of your head and lungs. Good Job! Keep it going. The journey continues...

mamatrep You are learning something big early in your quit...that is super...however, right now most important is taking care of YOU while your body and mind are healing from all those chemicals you consumed...You are doing it...Happy Monday ~ Colleen 623 DOF

This quit smoking journey is about more than just that drug in tobacco wrapped in paper.  When we smoked, we hid from life behind a cloud of smoke. We smoked when we were stressed, grumpy, happy, sad, angry, lonely, bored, content.  We really didn't EXPERIENCE so much of our lives and emotions.  Part of this journey is facing and learning to deal with all those feelings and situations, all the while missing that chemical that seemed to smooth it all out.  It didn't really do anything but allow us to escape from it all.

Your body and mind are adjusting to life without something that was part of it for a long time.  No wonder we feel out-of-sorts.  This WILL pass as you face each situation/emotion head on....but it is a rocky road until we learn how.

Keep going.  Just think of the freedom you will have!

You're doing great.  Listen to what you body needs and concentrate  on you right now.  You deserve it.
