Happy New Year and here's to a year full of good health to all of you.  I am approaching my 700th day smoke free and I want to encourage each one of you to not give up the fight.  It is a fight but YOU CAN do it!  I learned that I am definitely in charge of my own health and yes, there are those who will support you, but you are on your own.  I did depend on this site.  I was blown away by the support given through members.  I was totally honest in my feelings, challenges, thoughts,  and you all were there for me.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!  You told me to find a hobby, walk, read, draw, call a friend, jump, anything that would help me NOT SMOKE.  It worked!  I now am a jewelry designer and when I feel stressed, I work on designs, enjoying the creativity of the art.  I have become very successful in the last two years and am in 7 boutiques in the state.  It helps to find something you enjoy doing.  I found mine and it has helped! One big excuse I used for years was the fact that I needed to smoke to deal with the stress in my life.  Guess What?  Everyone has stress and you will continue to have stress in your life.  Smoking only makes your life MORE stressful.  I definitely feel my stress levels  less since I've quit.  I am not worrying about my health, where I will get my next cigarette and hiding from my family/friends.  YOU CAN QUIT!  Happy 2016.  The best is ahead!
