A little too close to home......

So we had some severe weather come through Alabama last night. Right around bed time......9:00 central time. The lightning and wind picked up and the the power went out. We checked the weather radio so we could get any updates because there had been a tornado watch issued for my area only moments before. The batteries in the radio were dead. Moments later we started getting phone calls asking if we are ok. Unbeknownst to us, a tornado hit 1/2 a mile from my home. Tore the roof off our neighbors house and did damage to a home and barn across the street from there as well. We fortunately, live in a very rural area so the houses are not close together. Luckily everyone in the hit area is safe and sound. Only structural damage, which can be repaired. We are very thankful to God that our home was spared and that we are all ok, but it was a little too close too home.

Not going to smoke over it though...

Happy quitting:)

Great job, Leisha, in not using this very real scare as an excuse to smoke.

That is a blessing that no one was injured and that your home was spared.
