A Turkey Day to Remember

Picture  the typical Thanksgiving scene. A large group of people sitting around the table, having just finished a huge Thanksgiving dinner, and now having pumpkin pie  and coffee. So the  next thing I know, my mother and my 10 year old niece decide to start a new Thanksgiving tradition. We went around the table, and each person had to say one thing they were thankful for. I said  I was thankful for my wedding this year. Anyway, we get around the table, and my mother is  the last person to say something. Suddenly the tears well up in her eyes, and her voice is cracked and broken as she talks. She then said something that this family will remember for the rest of our lives. "I am thankful to God that my children no longer smoke."

An almost shocking reminder that your smoking doesn't just effect you, it effects those who love you the most.

Please quit.

I quit smoking on March 26th, 2009. I smoked a pack a day for 25 years. I quit because I began having health issues in my early 40's. I had a TIA and a stroke a few years ago. I work as a home delivery salesperson.
