The craves haven't been too bad. I use lozenges and drink as much water as possible. But I have to keep my guard up because I've had several relapses. This time I'm going to make it forever, one smoke free hour at a time.

I received several nice things from EX, for completing a survey. Stress balls, a backpack, refillable, disposable water bottles with a nice message to relearn life without cigarettes.. I carry that with me to the gym.

Today my daughter is home visiting from college and I am happy she's here!

I started attending Celebrate Recovery at a church and credit my higher Power Jesus Christ for bringing me this far. I got a sponsor, too, a leader at another church's CR program.

This site--reading the blogs, etc.,--GHS support group and CR are all working together to help me stay clean.

No more smelly clothes, toxic skin and breath smell, no more wasted money on the thousands of toxins i was sucking in to my lungs.

I read one of Dr. Hays' blogs and followed a link to YouTube, where tobacco marketers are targeting developing countries like Indonesia, where an estimated 99% of the population smokes. Ads are everywhere and children can buy them freely, no questions asked. I brought this up in support group, and the health educator said the lung cancer rate for 50 year olds is really high.

I just feel so relieved to be smoke free.
