9 Days, breathing so much better

Well, I am 9 days smoke-free.  The first week (Hell week) was challenging at times, there were definitely moments when I wanted to give up.  Of course, being stuck at home didn’t help at all.  But after the 7th day I’ve found that the worst really is behind me and I’m starting to sleep much better.  And breathing—the simple act of just breathing—has gotten so much easier!  I don’t have the anxiety and frustration at night that I had in the beginning.  And thoughts still come, but they pretty much float by as quickly as they appear.  I am saving money, I feel better physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, and those gnawing cravings and urges I had in the beginning are gone.    I have so much to be thankful for and so many positives have come from quitting.  I don’t want to go back.  Now or ever.  And thank God for this website.  I’ve been coming here a lot, to blog, take the daily pledge and to read.  Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and is cheering me on.  Love to everyone.  XO

I have smoked on and off (mostly on) for the last twenty years...quit in 2010 and was successful for 3 1/2 years. Then my husband died in January 2014, so I caved and started up again...now, over 7 years later, I want to be done for good!!!! This quit is IT.
