44 days smoke free..Feeling funky

No cigarettes for 44 days.  This all so new to me.  Never did I understand the connection between Nictone and the mind.  This has been the most diffcult part of my quit.  I fee very vulnerable, insecure, and foggy.  Dont ususally feel this way, so I am struggling.  Emotions are running high.  ALthough these feelings come and go, this recent bout has stuck around for a few days now, and it's concering.  If this is No Man's Land, im despereate to return to the land in which I feel comfort.  I will continue to tell myself that I am in control of my quit and its effect on me. Thank you for all the support my EX Family has provided. I'm hanging in there.

It's ok. The thing about NML is it's unpredictable. I had a period of three days together also.

Tomorrow will be better. Keep looking for the good!

It is a roller coaster for some.  It certainly was for me.  You are doing great.  I agree with Dale, tomorrow will be better.  Carry on!  Continue to remember why you quit.

And - remember to stay busy during the rough times.  Easier said than done, I know, but a brisk walk will ALWAYS make you feel better.

NML can be a challenge - but the only way out is through.  Stay the course!

Sounds pretty par for the course. NML is so fickle! You are doing great sticking with it. You've come so far! Keep looking ahead and know this feeling will pass!!!!

Keep being a great example for those beautiful girls of yours! They should see that their daddy can do something hard and persevere. Your confidence will come back once you know that you can and have licked this addiction! Hang in there! I'm not yet to no man's land and I need someone to show me how it's done 🙂

I had my toughest time at exactly 44 days!  It was the closest I came to giving up my quit, but I made it through after screaming HELP and it's been smooth sailing ever since (now I'm at Day 91).  If you have any interest, feel free to go to my blog and see how crazed I was on Day 44.  But by Day 45 I had evened out and every day after I'm the happiest quitter!!  So please hang in there.  I promise it will get better, because I've been EXACTLY where you are and know that this passes.

Also, keep reminding yourself that you are NOT being deprived by not smoking.  The danger when we're feeling that way is to start romancing the cigarette -- just remember that if you WERE to smoke right now it would taste horrible, you would cough your head off and you would lose those precious 44 days.

You can do this!

Keep stepping foward. You are doing great. Deep breaths, stretching and keep your head positive! It does get so much better. Congrats on 44 breathe free days!
