Well its is offical,  I'm a non smoker,  Not smoking is such a non issue to me now, that I even forgot to stop by here on my 3rd and 4th anniversaries to mark the date.   I only remembered to stop by today because someone close to me is struggling and I recommended this site to him.    My husband who I NEVER thought would quit will be celebrating his 3rd year quit in July.

So its not impossible, its very do-able.  My best wishes to everyone and just remember  NOPE  Not One Puff Ever.

My best to everyone!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  It is especially heartening to hear that you provided such a good example for your hubby that he quit, too!    There are several newly quit here now who wonder if quitting can be done with smokers around - and you illustrate the affirmative of that!

Congratulations to you both!

Wonderful!  Always inspirational to see successes!  We quit -- learn how to stay quit by changing ourselves -- and then go on to live our lives to the fullest!  Congrats to both of you!  Patty d632

Wow let another anniversary roll by without stopping in. Not smoking is such a non issue now I don't feel the need to talk about it  5 years 5 months

I hope everyone here succeeds. If you do slip, forgive yourself and immediately go back into quit mode v

For he new people one piece of advice I can give you is to be happy that you quit. Don't dread it look forward to it like its you favorite holiday.  Don't let your subconsious rule you.  As soon as you feel a craving or an insidious thought trying to convince you to light one up, learn to just bat them away. Make a conscious decision to think about something else.   Good luck and reach out for help f you need it
