365 days at 2:30 am a year ago i woke up.went outside and smoked my last cigarette. It tasted like crap, it burned my throat and i drank a coke and went back to sleep. My daughter had just graduated high school and i had been saying for a long time how i needed to quit. It was then it hit me that morning that this is it.this is time, i dont need to smoke to live, i need to quit to live. I had headaches daily...gone now......i had heart palps.........gone..i felt like smoking was draining me........it so was.....now have energy of a 20 year old. I made it easy by making it fun.......no matter what i would succeed.......i lost a friend about 3 weeks into it and i knew it was coping from within that i could do it. I really dont think there is anything now that will come betwen me and my quit........its like a diamond ring that i never want to loose......20 carats of pure gold and sparking jewels........pink lungs and pure determination that i will succeed no matter what makes it easy for me every day god gives me...........i hope i have helped someone here as you all have helped me.....coming here saved me .........your stories your support........those of you who have become ill because of copd. cancer, etc. have been inspiring......... i wiil tell you this..........anyone can quit.......if i can do it you can do it........it takes nothing special....just a decision and sticking to it.........i  will never regret quitting and i feel the best ever.....bought me a new prize......big screen led tv....i just had to do it............my way to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks  guys
