So I kept seeing the commercials about this site.
Hadda come check it out. I've been cigarette free for 29 days.

Prior to even trying to *Quit* I investigated a few quit smoking sites, and learned about triggers and potential pitfalls ahead of time.

I sat my Quit date for Friday...March 21st... and then I Pushed myself to change some of my habits ahead of time.
I bought a 100 count box of the gum and used two or three pieces to eliminate a couple cigs from my still smoking days.

I ended up smoking on my preset *quit date* and then for two days after that I still ended up having a few smokes ... Finally on Sunday the 23rd I said that's it I won't smoke the first cig today...
So I still haven't.

So apparently a Sunday morning is for me a better less stressful time to quit.

I remind myself when the urge to smoke hits that it will also pass if I smoke... or if I don't.

A couple things about me:....

I live with a smoker and I drive 30 miles a day each way to work.

During that drive I would smoke 4-5 times so the drive has become the most challenging part of my day.
I bought a squishy kids toy that is like a ball of squishy rubber strings it helps give my non driving hand something to do.
I made a new play list on my Ipod of songs that are either new or that I have not listened to in a long time.

I have a good friend named Fawn... she is a nonsmoker and has been encouraging me to quit for over a year now.
During the first week she rode home from work & spent a couple nights with me, so that I could not be tempted to smoke on the way home.
Seriously that was one of the greatest helps in breaking my habit of driving and smoking.

This has been a hard journey for me as I knew it would be.If it were not for the gum I don't think I would of been able to quit at all.

Fawn is an awsome friend. I'm on day 46 and my cravings are less and less.
