28 days down!!!

Woot! Never thought I would go without smoking for a month but I did it! Things are getting alot better ever since I quit. When I walk to campus and from class to class; I am not out of breath anymore! Also, being at work has gotten so much better. Before, I would watch the clock and demand my break every two hours because I didn't feel I could possibly go any longer without a smoke in fear of strangling customers. Now, I don't have that panicky reaction and I have an inner calm. I get 2x the work that my smoking co-workers get done! Also, I wait until my bosses are ready to give me a break, which puts them in a better mood with me. My apartment doesn't even smell like smoke anymore!

The only problem that I have had since kicking the habit is that I gained 15 pounds. I never noticed it until I stepped on the scale recently. So, now that I have successfully booted the smoking habit I am finding ways to get even healthier. I recently made a purchase of the 10 minute trainer and the P90. Both have workouts ranging from 10-30 minutes. So, in time perspective; I am using 1/4 of the time I spent smoking to increase my health and lose weight. I have also found that there is a euphoric feeling after working out. It is kinda like that AAAHH feeling all smokers describe. Anyways, give it a shot. You might be surprised after quitting smoking how easy it is to find some time to get back in shape.

Great job!!!!   Things will only get better from here!   Don't worry about the weight gain,  its not uncommon and you can lose it by walking a little or cutting out some liquid calories like soft drinks!
