I may be on this site all nite if I have to.

Thank you to all of my fellow EXers for your support and love and guidance and seemingly limitless ears. MMMWAHHH

Please, God, let me make it through the weekend.

No apologies necessary Marie.  Instead of focusing on your cravings find a diversion. Put on some music and dance dane dance! Or take a shower and brush your teeth. drink a glass of ice cold water straight down. Do some stretching exercises. Go to the movies. Get out of your own environment. Just divert your attention. You CAN do this!  Blog all you need to.

By all means ramble on. Congratulations Marie. 4 weeks is huge and a great start to have this addiction behind you for good. You seem to be at a crossroads right now and the good news is I see you do a lot of reading and I am sure that with that logic and education will see you through. Stand Tall Lady. You can do this. I'm so glad you posted!  I picked up on your struggle by a post you made on another's blog.  I went to leave you encouragement on your message board, but yours is turned off or private.  So I left you a private message but wasn't sure you'd see it and I didn't have any way to leave you an AOL "you got mail" message...

So anyways, don't you dare quit this quit!  You want to be an exsmoker, I want to be an exsmoker...and the only we can do that is if we don't smoke!

You CAN do this..

My dear Marie....

I wrote a blog at my 30 day mark and I think the title was "Not feeling like celebrating yet...." or something like that.....

It was tough, around 30 days. But you know what? I think we started with firm resolve and we know we're going to stay quit, but boy, 30 days is tough.....

And then.....guess what? No (Wo)man's Land awaits you....have you read that blog on jonescarp's site? So true....

Marie, it may be with great reluctance that we discipline this side of ourselves. But we know we really want to.

Not one puff, my dear....not one.....

This is when your addictive mind knows that you are serious about your quit - not just playing around to impress somebody so you can sneak back in, hopefully unobserved and get your fix! This is where you have to bring into play every single reason you want to quit - the heavy duty tools in your quit tool box! You are gonna give that nicodemon a great big whack! you are going to be VICTORIOUS!!! You are going to more than ever KNOW you are an Exer!!! This is your time, Marie, to show yourself that you mean business and NO MATTER WHAT Smoking is simply not an option any more at all!!!! And when you make it to the other side, you know that you accomplished something GREAT and that there's nothing that nicodemon can throw at you that could possibly work - he's already used his best weapons - to no avail, because I don't do that any more!!! I'm Smoke FREE!!!!
