It's been a while since I have been on this amazing site.  Like all of you, we have been busy with life.  I almost forgot that the last time I lit up was Feb. 3rd, TWO YRS ago!  Not two weeks or months!  This site and all you EX ers are the reason I have been able to quit.  You encourage, support, give ideas and inspire us on a regular basis.  We all can depend on this site any time of day or night.  THANK YOU!  

I like the fact that the home page keeps track of the quit date with the days staying quit.  It motivated me to keep going with ideas to distract yourself when vulnerable.  Take a walk, drink water, iced tea, a pepsi, dance, knit, work on a craft (I make jewelry), call a friend, rock in a rocking chair, sing with your child, or color in those popular color books for adults.  Pick something that you enjoy.  IT WORKS and if you distract yourself for 1 min. or more, the urge leaves. 

I loved seeing my numbers go up.  I guess I am naturally competitive and did not want to start over with day 1.  Lastly, N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) helped me since I have been taking puffs for over 25 years which turned to packs the last 10 years.  Smoking is now in my past and just know that  YOU CAN BEAT THIS!  Invest your time and efforts in YOURSELF and watch those number of days QUIT go up!
