Hi Everyone,

It has been quite a while since I've checked in. I was going through old photos on my phone last night and I came across an album where I had stored quotes/sayings that were helpful to me in the early days of my quit. Reading them over again certainly did bring me back. The memories of that excruciatingly difficult 1st year of my quit  flooded back. It was nice to reflect on how far I have come. It also reminded me of how helpful this community was to me at the time. I decided I needed to check back in to let everyone know I am still succeeding, and today I am smoke free for 2 years and 90 days!

To all of you struggling, please stay strong. Each day that you make it through without smoking brings you closer to  that sweet freedom and relief. In the thick of it, it seems endless and impossible, but you will break through if you persevere. The day will come when you feel like yourself again. You will be rewarded with peace and freedom and happiness. If I did it, so can you.

Here are a few of the quotes/sayings...

Hi Everyone! I'm Lauren. I'm 31 years old from Alexandria, VA. I work a lot, but I love my job and the people that I work with. When I'm not working or out with work people, I am spending time with my dog or my family. I started smoking when I was 21. I studied abroad in Spain and everyone there smoked. It was "cool" and I found it alluring. 10 years later here I am. Smoking is or I guess WAS a huge part of my life. I'm taking one day at a time and dealing with all of this the best I can.
