Congrats Dixie and what a great list!    You got this and will be the winner over the little red Nic.

I use atomic fire balls and gum.    Totally can relate to the cow chewing her cud!!!

Stay strong.

Congrats on the 1 week! I can't wait til tomorrow so I can say I have quit for a week. I turned to this site because I could speak my mind about how I feel. My husband doesn't understand how difficult this is. Oh and I wildly chewed so much gum the first 3 days that I gave myself an earache. LOL

Hi Dixie, congrats on a week!   The first week is definitely the toughest. The nicotine is out of your system now, but it will take another 2 weeks or so before your brain chemistry fully returns to normal. Don't let your guard down, keep working the process.

Just in case no one gave you this link yet, here's a free copy of a book many of use have used to change our mindsets about quitting.

You're doing great, keep going!
