getting through and getting by.....  monday i had to put my beloved weimaraner, misty rose to sleep.  rest in peace dear friend... 3/26/02 - 6/9/14  misty was a uniquely special dog.  born a cheesehead from southern wisconsin and adopted at 15 months, she quickly acclimated to chicago urban life and became a premier watchdog and protector.  misty lived life large; whether she was running the fields and streams of ohio and tennessee, or walking the streets of chicago, she never missed an opportunity to make herself known.  she had a big voice.  she was kind but aloof; she had to like you first.  she played well with others and had a maternal nature about her.  her intellect and emotional IQ were higher than any dog i have ever had.  her sensitivity and unbounded joy were two of her most redeeming characteristics.  misty loved to smile.  they say if you have one great dog in your lifetime, you should consider yourself very lucky....  i consider it a privelege to have had misty in my life.....
