Some urges have been pretty intense.  When this happens I just ask myself what a cig would do for me right now...same answer everytime

"Nothing".

Ding ding ding! Right answer! All it would do for you is create more cravings for nicotine. Congrats on 15 Days of Freedom!

CONGRATULATIONS on 15 days!! Always an important accomplishment. And your attitude is great! After all, we all know going into a quit that we're going to crave a cigarette. How we handle that reality after we quit can take us a long way!! Just remember your motto. Mine was always ONWARD TO FREEDOM!!!

Thanks Everyone!  I read from this site daily!  Going for my walk now to smell the (somewhat) fresh air I've been missing!

CONGRATULATIONS!  You are absolutely right, cigarettes don't do anything FOR us, only TO us.  Keep going, you are doing GREAT.

Hi All, it's now 43 days into my new life w/o cigs.  Feeling good but I can't believe how much time smoking took from each and every day.  It's a new freedom of sorts.

Once I completely accepted that smoking did nothing FOR me, only TO me, it was a whole different story.  I have not smoked in over five years now.

Congratulations to you!  It IS a new freedom.
