11th hour 11th day

I thought seeing my cousins would be tough. It was hard seeing those half smoked butts in the ashtray on the porch. Not hard to resist, though since everyone in there had a respiratory sickness. We couldn't think of one person in our bunch who has successfully quit smoking. I guess I am the only one! My folks are gone, grandfolks too and I have no kids. I am lucky to have my cousins, Aunts, Uncles, I love them, we have fun. Im glad I can visit without going nuts for a smoke. Thanksgiving at my cousin's this year. Wont have to freeze my butt off smoking outside this time

SO PROUD of you, you can sit back and relish the smells of the food cooking and not your lungs shriveling up while you are freezing to get your fix.  Good for you!

You are doing great, keep stacking up your precious smoke free days because each day you get through is another Day WON. It's wonderful not having to freeze our butts off anymore.

HoytGirl, You're doing fantastic! I was the only smoker in my whole family and extended family. The only smoker in my husband's whole family was his mother. So I'm the black sheep of the bunch and they look down on me. I used to smoke in the garage but I still froze my butt off too. I definitely  don't miss that! We're here to help each other every step of the way.

Sorry they tried to look down on you. Nobody's perfect, but yeah, they do it. It's easy. Smoking is a dirty habit! Now we dont smoke, and we dont freeze on purpose. I like not missing the conversations, (mostly, a smoke was a good excuse to bail out on bad conversations, haha). I guess it now will be a pretend phone call I must make.
