101 days quit and some thoughts on 2nd hand smoke

Wow, I feel normal again and without smoking!   Okay, I'm a bit heavier but not by much.  I don't have a scale but I had to buy some new clothing cause I'm up a dress size.  Quitting during the holiday season didn't help.  It's totally my fault because I can not remember ever accidentally eating during my quit.  Just a bit of frantic "what the hell do I do with myself?"    It's OK.  I can handle it.

What I can't handle is second hand smoke.  I spent some time with friends who smoke recently.  It was several days around them lighting up every hour or so in an indoor environment.    On the one hand the smoke choked me.  I'm getting spoiled with  'no smoke'  air to breathe.    On the other hand,  it smelled pretty damn good sometimes and was terribly tempting.  There were times I couldn't pay attention to the conversation because I was trying to talk my self out of asking for one.   They know I quit and would not offer.   They might give me one though if I asked.    What ultimately stopped me from asking was the fact I was choking on the smoke!  Thank goodness second hand smoke is nasty.  When I left, I felt like I had escaped in the nick of time.    I never asked for one and that filled me with pride.  I didn't compromise my quit.  That feels GREAT!   If I can do it, so can you.   😉
