1 week today!

Today I'm celebrating 1 week of being smoke-free. Today has been kind of hectic. I was getting my daughter off to school, when my husband called. He went to work at 5am and forgot to put his patch on! He was really freaking out. Someone gave him a piece of nicorette gum. He said it didn't work for him. I said just hold on. I will be there ASAP! I took the 25 minute drive down I-95 and got there just in time lol! He is feeling better and thank God he didn't give into the Nicodemon. I feel good that I could help him out for a change. He is always thinking of me and trying to help me, through all my insanity! Whew...disaster averted. Between My Husband and I we have already saved $210.00.  I wish everyone a happy smoke-free day!

Way to stick together!  I'm quitting with my husband too, and it has been really helpful not to have to deal with someone smoking while I am trying to quit.  Keep it up - you can do it!

I forgot my patch about the 4th day. I was away from home ut instead of driving home I just told myself

"self don't panic. See how you feel and see how you do without it."

It was actually very empowering.

I made it through the day fine but from then on  I decided to keep one patch in my wallet as a security blanket.

I only used the patch for 10 of my first 14 days and then I knew I didn't need it.

Listen to your body.

Way to go with the first week down. I smiled when I read how you helped your husband out - that's what marriage is all about. good for you! Keep at it!

He's the one doing the quitting, not the patch. He needs more faith in himself.

Good for you for understanding how important his quit is and helping him to protect it.
