WOW, I can't believe it, 1 week of not smoking and I have stuck to it this time. I haven't even taken one puff. This is a big deal for me, I really needed to get through the first week. Before I would always fail in the first few days, sneak a smoke here, a puff there, and the next thing you know it's back to smoking and promises of starting over tomorrow. Now I know I can do it if I really put the effort into actually being smoke free. For the first time in a long time I see myself as a non-smoker.

Took me quite a few attempts myself before I realized that I was a drug addict with a real problem with nicotine. Once I had the final "slap me in the face" moment of "I truly cannot have just one or be back at ground zero" it changed my quit forever. The decision I made to quit truly made it regardless of what life through at me I did not concede. Now life is a different story. I still have some taps on the shoulder here and there, like when my adopted mom passed away this year, but the actual "desire" to smoke or "wanting one?" Forget it, don't even go there, just doesn't happen. KEEP GOING! You are doing great!!!!!! Congratulations on the making the best decision of your life to stop being a using addict! 😉

Congrats on making it through the swamp of the first week. It should get better from here on, you;ll find more reasons to stay an EX-smoker. Keep it up, you're doing great!

Congratulations-- we really are non-smokers! Don't underestimate the power of the addiction, though. Keep your guard up for anything unexpected. Keep up the good work, looking forward to hearing about your success. Have a good heck week (it only gets better)!!
