Let's Get Moving Part 3

Jump to solution

'The original idea was to "get moving" at least 4 times a week, staying accountable to each other.  Post your accomplishments in the comments. This is the original blog link if you would like to clarify the guidelines

Let's Get Moving Challenge - EX Community.   Any activity counts, as long as you get off your butt and get your heart pumping.  Who knows, maybe we'll lose a little weight or a couple of inches in the meantime.  I hope placing it in discussions this time will work better than a blog post where there were so many entries and becomes harder to locate.  Let's see if we can keep it on the board often and easy to find.

I believe we got sidetracked when I suggested doing other challenges and those challenges were not conducive to everyone. My fault. Lesson learned.  So I am hoping we can get back to doing what "you" do instead of a specific routine.  Got it?.   In the previous post, there were a lot of comments to go through to come up with this list of who participated.  Hopefully, it will catch on again.  Of course, sometimes we got off topic which can happen.  This post really kept me motivated and we had a lot of fun while learning a lot from each other with over 2519 comments on the first blog and 1072 Let's Get Moving 2018 - EX Community  on second blog comments. So let's Get Moving Part 3!

I have already walked this morning 1.5 miles so far today.  Cocoa and I walked 35 minutes.  It was more my pace this morning.  We are getting a better understanding.  I lead you to follow.  lol  She did not want to come back in.  However, she is knocked out and I am going to do the cardio at the rec center.  I think.  She seems to be happy here.  I wanted toys for her.  I was informed that she did not like toys that make noise.  I sent my son to purchase toys with that instruction.  Of course, he returns with a little toy doll that makes noise.  Just for the hell of it  Guess what?  It only lasted 5 minutes.  Torn to shreds. All I could do was laugh.

I gots it lubricated!  And I clamped the old one on tighter and so far it's holding.  But I'm keeping the new connector just in case.

Meanwhile I actually did some moving today!  Blew some leaves in 94 degrees and just returned from a nice 8 mile bike ride as a cherry sun was setting.  Amazing scents all along my ride today.  I thought I'd have to hold my nose going by where a deer had been hit by a car a week ago (it was just starting to ripen) but it was nowhere to be seen.  One of the locals must have carted it off for dinner, man or coyote I know not but there wasn't a scrap nor tittle to be found or smelled, happily!

Love the dog story, Jackie!  And good on you for the walking.

JACKIE1-25-15‌ I'm going to call you the Energizer Bunny, you just keep going,  and going!

Giulia‌ I'm happy to hear you got that bike ride in. Our weather changed today, you guys should be soon too, no?

Me and my dude got out to the local state park, it is the only "mountainous" area in the region (big hills at best). We loved our time out. We didn't go as far as I would've liked, but the recent heavy rains flooded trails out. 1570047605458.jpg

Two happy faces!  Now if you had just stuck out your tongue .... next time DO.  It just might go Viral on EX (for what that's worth!  lol)  And I'm WAITING for that weather change.  I know what's going to happen.  Suddenly we're gonna get torrential rain and it'll be in the 70s.  Mark my words!  90s to 70s.  Fortunately we're an adaptable species and can probably survive it!

Black toenails.  Can't quite see the color.  Whatever they are - Very PUNK!  lol  Why are you destroying your dawg???  May have to bring you up on animal exercise abuse charges.  lol  Is he a black lab?  My first dog was a black lab.

Just got in another 20 minutes of aerobic exercise trying to capture wee mouse that cat brought in.  Back and forth, under and over and around and through, in the mouth and out of the mouth, (not mine, hers) me trying to save it in the bug jail.  Very fast little creature.  Currently both cat AND mouse are nowhere to be seen in the house.  Mouse in the house!  GREAT.  Makes for an exciting evening, I'll say.  We don't watch tv or have cable so it highly entertaining.  Hopefully it won't come visit us in the bedroom.  Ahhhhhh.  Fortunately I'm not the type to get hysterical when a mouse runs over my foot, which it did.  But... I WOULD like to know where it IS.  If it brushed it's cute little whiskers up against my pillowed face, I might think differently.  Though this was really one of those adorable 2 inch long, Walt Disney types.

Sweet dreams all.
