Hlenglin's Status Update on 11/03/2020

My quit day was October 31st and I have been struggling with it. I am committed to quitting and hope that I can learn how to navigate this site to help myself and others succeed.

Welcome  Hlenglin Glad you're here and are posting.  Keep at it. Keep present.  Everyone's experience is different but the struggle will hopefully be easier as time passes and you are more aware of yourself to succeed.

Welcome to the Ex and congrats on your quit.  You're already doing it  Just post like you did anytime you need encouragement.  I learned more as a I went along, but you've already learned the most important part.
You're off to a great start on your journey.  Keep moving forward one day at a time.

Thank you, I notice that when I first get up is when my cravings are the worst right now. I am trying to keep some small hard candies right where I used to keep my vape.

Change up your routine and the morning.  Leaning new behaviors instead of smoking really works.
Keep moving forward.

Hlenglin  That is what I did first thing when I woke up was go have a smoke and that was a hard habit to break. I just replaced smoking with something else to do and finally that feeling went away because I got my mind on something else. I thought I would never stop going crazy thinking about smoking but in time all got better. I hope your mornings will be better soon for you.

Here is a video that is good to watch by Dr. Richard Hurt from the Ex site.
