Still not done, but getting closer. Grandkids here now till late tomorrow. Hope to finish this painting sometime over the weekend. I can see lots of areas I need to work on. But I am new at portrait painting so any progress is good, lol.

Wow, that's amazing.  I used to draw ALL the time but I got so frustrated about my inability to make something look the way I THOUGHT it should that I just put everything away.  I never heard of gridding.  I did try reading "Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain" but I never got very far with that.
