Happy Easter today! Is 5 am here and have been awake since 3:30 am as I am having troubles staying asleep to I thought I would just give up on sleep and get up. I gave in on sleeping but not giving in on my quit. Easter is the last holiday to be included in my 1st seasonal go around without smoking. The next holiday will be the start of my 2nd round or 2nd year to face possible triggers that I experienced as a smoker.  Today going to my younger sister's house for good food and good ole family bonding.  Although, I do not anticipate any problems as I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin with my quit.  On the other hand, the last family gathering got me holding a cigar in my hand (NOTE I DID NOT SMOKE IT) and someone else handing cigarettes offering me one, so with this being said and as Marilyn always says have to be vigilant in our quits. I am looking forward to great family time but I will have my guard up, be aware of my surroundings in case there are triggers. I don't want to be caught off guard so I go prepared with my tool box just in case. Be cautious as Mr. Nico dude likes to be sneaky and catch you off guard.  I hope everyone has a great holiday and wonderful family time together. OH yeah I am here with 338 DOF. with 27 more days for my 1 year anniversary. Woohoo!!

Hi! My name is Sharon and I am married, a mom to 5 kids and also have 2 fur babies that are both shelties and considered my kids. I have smoked for about 30 years. I came here to learn how to quit and stay quit. I need to quit to impove my health and was tired of nicotine controlling me and Doctors and family nagging me. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. Now that I have joined in the EX family I now have been free of nicotine since May 13th 2016.
