I can't believe that it's been 30 days since I've had a smoke. There are some days that feel like it's been so much longer and some days that don't. I honestly never thought I would make it to this milestone, but then I discovered this site and and the folks on here who always have a supportive word of encouragement. I can't begin my day without logging in and checking in on everyone, taking the daily pledge and sharing my successes. As I continue this journey and take that first step into NML, I will continue to follow those before me and take things one day at a time. I will continue to read and educate myself on what is to come, because you can never be too prepared. I will continue creating this new life, without nicotine and tar in my system. So as I begin my new phase in this quit, I take a deep breath, and a giant step....

I began smoking, stealing mom's cigs out of her purse at 13 years old. I have quit a million times before, my first serious quit when I was in my 30's and that quit lasted a little over 7 years....after halfheartedly plenty of other quits lasting from 1/2 days to maybe a week or so, I am hoping this next attempt is my last...As someone who has become an expert in cigarette withdrawals, I'm getting kind of sick of it and this time I am looking for support from this site....
