Hi all,  today is my 15th day of being a non smoker and I can't believe it.  I would like to thank the EX community for helping.  I found this site when I was searching for others that share this problem.  Even though I have come to this site for the last 2 weeks I have only read members blogs and questions.  Just knowing I wasn't alone helped me so much.

I wanted to share something that happened yesterday that made my commitment to be a non smoker for ever stronger.

Since my son was 4 years old it has been just him and I.  I am so proud of this young man who is now 22 years old and he is my reason for everything I do.  Yesterday on my 2 week anniversary he wakes up early (he works nights so waking up at 6 in the morning is very early for him) and gives me a big hug and said "Mom it is 2 weeks today and I am so PROUD of you, I love you"  I said thank you and l love you too.  I then left for work and cried all the way to work thinking how awesome that was and how proud I am of myself that I have made it this far.  I am also so proud of this young man.  He has been through so much and had come through it with a couple of little scars.  (physically and emotional)

Let me tell you all I didn't think I could do it.  I used to freak out when I went to conferences for work and my first thought was ok where do I go for a cigarette.  You all know scoping out the new territory.

Thank you all for just being here when I need to make sure I am not the only one in this position.  As I continue on my journey I will be here and if anyone needs a helping hand on their journey mine is extended.
