I am nearing the trailhead once again.
I have seen many travelers on my journey across NML as we restocked the supplies at the Oasis.
Each traveler I have met in the last few days seems like they are not sure they will be able to finish their journey. I can assure them that they can.
You might ask how I know this....
I smoked for over 42 years. I made my journey through NML and away from the land of Sickorettes without any aids.
Did I leave that land unscathed?
No! I didn't. I damaged my heart and lungs in those 42+ years. I developed other vascular problems from those death sticks. My Gastro Intestinal system is also damaged.
I am sure there are other problems, but, I can't remember them all.
Others here can also tell you of the damage smoking can do.
Read our blogs and you can find out a lot about that subject.
Were our journeys easy?
I can tell you that mine had many ups and downs. I got help from so many here, and you can also.
That is why so many of us are still here. We want everyone to succeed in their quit journey. All you need to do is ask for help when you need it.
I want to assure each traveler that help is just a blog post away. There is always someone that will answer your call for help.
I can't tell you that your journey will be easy. It can be done though.
On the other side of this NML desert is the land of non-smoking.
How to get there?
One step at a time.
Your camel will keep you on the path if you will trust it.
Watch out for the traps Nic has set for you out there.
Watch for the sneak attacks his minions might attempt.
I continue my mission now.
Travel safely my fellow travelers.
One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.
