Days 6 & 7

Turns out my blog post from yesterday never was posted.  I must have been interrupted and didn’t remember to save and post.  Oh well...

Have had some strong cravings for “just one puff” but after stretching and deep breathing they subsided and I forgot about them eventually.  Need to remember that “just one puff” will lead right back to 1/2 pack per day.

Am feeling better at Orange Theory and yoga even though when I smoked I didn’t feel terrible. Just a bit more anxious and worn out somehow.  Could tell that smoking was affecting my exercise.  I was completely delusional to think it wouldn’t.

About the Author
I am a 55 year old health care professional and have considered myself a non smoker my entire adult life. I was a runner (and smoked), yogi, walker, exerciser, clean food advocate, etc. But smoked secretly anyway. It is the nicotine I’m addicted to, not the habit. Quitting nicotine makes me feel so uncomfortable and disoriented. Have used patches and lozenges. Patches kept me awake at night so became addicted to lozenges years ago when quitting. Am now back in the same predicament. Quit again today and am back on lozenges.
