Good morning fellow EXer's! I woke up this morning to the realization that this is the first day of a new year X 2 for me! The calender says it is the first day of 2014! (The years are going way too fast!) It is also the first day of my 5th Smoke Free year! (I remember when 8 hours was a major accomplishment!)!
Lying in bed, I decided that I should start the year out with a nice invigorating 3 mile run, a long shower, and a good healthy breakfast! Then I remembered who I am! So, I took the dog for a walk, and I am going to make a couple of ham and egg sandwiches! Still planning to shower!
But, before I get to all of that, I felt a need to come here and let you know that I am not only thankful for the fact that I am here to see the new year(s), But I am thankful for all of you who helped me get here! Over the past 4 years, at this site, so many of you have shared your lives and your wisdom with me! Some are still here, and some are long gone from this site! And Dawn has moved on to her reward! Some have motivated me with their own long term quits, and some have motivated me by allowing me to help them with quits that are not as long as mine! But all of you are a part of my success here!
I would be remiss if I failed to mention My Best Friend Sootie! From day one she has been my OAK! She has been my island of stability when the waters were at their roughest! And she has never hesitated to support me when I was right, and tell me when I was wrong! I have the utmost respect for this Lady! And that is the key to great friendship! Respect!
So, now, before going to work, I will head toward my shower, and then my ham and egg sandwiches. But first, I want to thank all of you who are a part of this site, and a part of my life! You all make my life better! You all make this site a better place! And, I look forward to a future that is better for all of us! Happy Smoke Free New Year! Tommy
