Wisdom Gained?

143 days.

I awoke this morning to a beautiful sunrise.

When I was returning to my tent, I noticed a small bag beside the entrance to my tent. Is this the Moses Dust? The dust clinging to the outside of the bag looks like none I have ever seen. I followed the tracks from the bag back to a hidden crevice in the mountainside. Inside is a small cave and the floor in the back corner is covered with this dust. Is this where I must come to refill the bag if I need to?

As I came out of the cave, I saw the old goat. I traveled on up the mountain to the house. As I looked into the goat's eyes, I felt like she was telling me that all the wisdom I needed for my work in the desert of NML was already in my heart and mind. I had learned it on my own journey across the desert. That wisdom? N.O.P.E.  .... Not One Puff Ever !!!!! This is what was carved on a large rock next to the cave. This is the message I must give to everyone that travels the caravan trail !!!!!

She turned and led me to a table filled with foods. I took my meal as she watched. I was refreshed and felt strong once more. As I ate, she instructed me about the Moses Dust. She said to cast it into a sandstorm, speaking the words, "Sand don't smoke. Sand don't smoke." A way would open through it for my caravan to travel safely onwards if I follow these instructions. She confirmed that I was to return to the cave for more if I needed it.

I am now waiting to see if the Old Goat wishes to speak more, or if what I have felt deep inside about wisdom gained on my journey and what she has told me is all I will need to know. If I awake in the morning and she has not spoken, or is gone, I will know that it is time for me to begin my journey back across the desert.

One step, and then another, gets you to where you want to be.

Hugs and love to all.

About the Author
I am a male that underwent coronary artery bypass X3 (triple) on 10/22/13 at the age of 55. I was living on about 20-30% of one coronary artery and my left heart output was only 20% to 25%. I spent a week in the hospital after surgery and went home. Then had to go back a day later for another week because I had pneumonia. Finally a few days because of a slight arythmia. All told it has been about 2 1/2 weeks. I am past the cravings by now and only have the urges to contend with. I really don't suggest that anyone quits smoking using this technique though. I'll have to carry the scars from that day for the rest of my life. The large one down the center of my chest, and the ones from several "silent" infarctions. I came that close to the next world. Never again will I subject my body to that (at one point in my life I was smoking 5 packs of cigarillos a day). I now have to say N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) every day of my life. TheOldGoat-Joan, I miss you terribly my friend. Elder Lists Guilia's: (/blogs/Giulia-blog/2017/06/18/elders-list-ao-december-7-2016 ) or Smorgy's (Chronological Elder List)
