Encouragement For All the Newly Quit!

I smoked for 40+ years, and never tried to quit before last July 4.  I listened to my addicted mind and the brainwashing that said I was not strong enough.  With the help of Chantix, Allen Carr's book and the folks on this site, I have not smoked a cigarette or inhaled one puff from one in SIX MONTHS!

You all should understand that it is not easy, but it IS doable.  You need to do your reading and preparation work, and commit to the effort 100%.  If you do, though, I promise you will be successful.  If I can do this, EVERYONE can!

Just DO it!

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
