~~When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.~~  Unknown

It sounded like a good idea, right?  Quitting smoking.  I mean, it's not socially acceptable anymore and your family has always wanted you to quit so why not?  Only once you started....well, it's hard.  It's hard not to light up and it's hard to remember why you wanted to put yourself through this.

Maybe a list will help.  And maybe we can have all the beautiful elders add to the list.  And maybe all the new quitters will also add their reasons.  And soon you'll have a list to end all lists and you will know in no uncertain terms why you quit smoking.

1.  To Smell Pretty (my personal favorite)

2.  No more yellow stained fingers!

3.  No more damage to your teeth/gums.

4.  No more added damage to your lungs.

5.  More time to spend with those who love you!!

6.  No more burning holes in your carpet/car seat/clothes.

7.  Money, money, money in your pocket!!!!

Ok, Exers, please take over and add your personal reasons for quitting.  It's important, I think, to remember they whys of your quit when you feel shaky.  It puts you back on solid ground.

Happy Sunday, all!!  May you have only air in your lungs and peace in your heart
