I had been meaning forever to introduce myself and thank all of you for all that you do to support others in their Quit. I can tell you it has made all the difference for me. Before finding this site, my numerous attempts to quit would usually be over after a few short hours. Before this, I had convinced myself there was something wrong with me (and only me) that made it impossible to quit. And even when I first found this site, I did not understand why any of you would stick around once Your Quit was in the bag. Why wouldn't you just move on, and get on with your life? I, for one, am so very glad you didn't- and am understanding and learning more with each passing day. And yesterday, after 58 DOF, my old friend Denial came to visit, and try to cajole me into just going back to smoking until my vacation, was over, and then I could quit again. NOPE. I knew right where to come to get that thought out. I smoked for 44 years. Two packs a day in my younger years when I smoked indoors. A pack a day for the past 15 or so years. I learn something new most every day when I come here. When I was working, it was just easy to keep coming on, and reading enough to keep me motivated, and go on my way. But you guys have made me laugh, touched me so it brought a tear to my eye, and brought me a lot of insight. Still battling the Denial demon sometimes, but ever grateful for all of you teachers.
