And it's ours for the taking but it's a choice that each of us must make for ourselves and we must want it more than anything else on the face of this earth then we must educate ourselves on this horrid addiction and I chose to educate myself right here on this site so I read everything I could about quitting smoking and Remaining Quit and I found an overwhelming amount of information which strengthened my resolve to kick the nicotine poison to the curb, I hid in the shadows and just read for quite some time . I set my quit date but I wasn't ready when it came around so I set it up for the following week and promised myself that was my date and that was it because finding out that I have mild copd scared the crap out of me and I decided to take back my life while I still could then for some reason I never came back until I was going through one horrendous never ending crave that I wanted to jump in my car and buy a carton of cigarettes not just a pk but I promised myself the night before quitting smoking that I'd never pick up another cigarette as long as I live and I don't break promises to anybody including myself, thankfully I remembered this site so I logged on and finally commented on something which someone commented back to me that I should write a blog and say a little bit about myself and my quit which was my 18th day I believe and the rest is history. Today I'm celebrating three glorious smoke free years of Freedom after 40 yrs of smoking at least 30 smokes a day I'm glad that I was scared into quitting for my health because I really don't know if I would've been bright enough to quit otherwise because I always thought that it was other people who got smoking related illnesses that I was just fine and I think I thought that I was invincible but I wasn't invincible, none of us are, I'm so thankful for this community of awesome friends and fellow Exers so if you haven't quit yet now is the time while you are still vertical. Quit for you and your health, your family and even your wallet but quit before your health takes a downhill slide where you end up on oxygen 7/24 or worse, there's definitely life after cigarettes reach out and grab the best gift that you'll ever give yourself which is the gift of LIFE!
