Share your quitting journey
I had a appointment this morning I knew it was going to snow but it wasn't supposed to start until early afternoon. My appointment was at 9:30 but of course I didn't get seen until after 11 and it was snowing really hard with strong winds, I live a half hour from the hospital and the dual highway was nothing but a blanket of white. All I can say is I am EXtremely thankful that I am an Ex smoker because I would have chain smoked the whole way home and most likely given myself a splitting headache I have learned how to deal with lifes stressers without the crutch of cigarettes, I smile because I never thought after 40 yrs of smoking I could ever quit but with the help of the people on this site and having a health scare finding out that I have copd was enough to scare me into quitting because my health and family, especially my grandchildren were and are so much more important than a disgusting cigarette, Believe in yourself, stay strong, determined and totally committed. we must always remain vigilant and protect our precious quits while enjoying our precious new found freedom.
