Share your quitting journey
It's already the 15th of Sept but I am enjoying the gorgeous weather that MOTHER NATURE is bringing to the Maritimes Provinces and hopefully she's spreading the beautiful weather to all of you. 429 days ago I quit smoking and each morning when I wake up I immediately tell myself to be vigilant and protect this precious new found freedom, I do this because I don't want to get complacent and lazy because this addiction is relentless and doesn't care if we have a yr in or 10 + yrs quit, it could use a happy occasion or a death to pull us back in but for me I remain vigilant because we all must know someone in our lives that has been quit for yrs and started again, for me it's my older sister Cheryl that quit for 7 years and decided to smoke just one and of course smoked for 20 some yrs and has a few months under her belt again and is battling breast cancer and I pray that she is winning, she lives in a different province about 6 hrs away, we do talk quite often though. Let's continue each and every day to enjoy our new found freedom from the slavery of cigarettes.
