My name is Lisa. I am a 39 year old, soon to be 40 in May, wife and mom. I have 4 daughters. 2 have left the "nest" already and 2 are still at home. Their ages are 16 and 13. I am happily married to a great guy who is super supportive of my many, many quit attempts. I really want and need this time around to work for me. I really cannot stand being a smoker anymore. I have deprived myself of way too much through out all these years of smoking. I started when I was in the 7th grade and oh how I wish I could turn back the hands of time. But I can't, and here I am. I know I am going to be leaning on all of you for support. Ye smy hubby is great, but he isn't a smoker, and when he did smoke it was only for like 3 years and when he decided he was done, he jsut put them down and never looked back. So being here with everyone who knows how hard this is means a lot to me. I will probably blog a lot too...I love to write, I haven't done a lot of it lately, but I am hopeful to return to it.Wow I am just rambling on and on...LOL!! My quit date is set for March 31st. I am so nervous about it, but yet excited too. I have chosen to use the patch for help. I have tried going it cold turkey before, that was a disaster. I have tried the gum and lozenges and I ended up with sores in my mouth (yuck!) and I have tried welbutrin, only to find out I am highly allergic to it. I have also used Chantix as well. If I knew then what I do now about it I would have stopped taking it after only 4-5 weeks. But ya know what they say...'" You live and You learn!" I have learned a lot from my other attempts. I also refer to them as my practice runs. So I am hoping that  this time around I will know my triggers better. Well dear friends ( I hope we can all become friends:-) I am off for now. If you would like to know anymore please do not hesitate to ask. HUGE HUGS   Lisa
